1. Each competitor shall play from the yellow tee blocks unless otherwise specified in the tournament posting. Exception: Players who regularly play from either the Red or Yellow/Red Combo tees, and input their scores on Golf Canada from those tees on a regular basis, may request to play from those same tees for tournaments. Requests will be considered and verified by the tournament committee. If accepted, the Player will be assigned to their regular tee and their handicap will be adjusted to that tee.
2. Pace of play: Time will be limited in the clubhouse or patio to 5 minutes between nines. No exceptions, or you could be assessed a 2 stroke, slow play penalty.
3. Score cards are to be brought to the designated drop off spot signed and attested within 15 minutes of completion of round. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
4. Preferred lies are allowed on fairways only, one (1) club length on the fairway you’re playing, no closer to the hole and not so as to improve your line to the flag. Mark, lift, clean & place by hand or club head. Foreign fairways play as rough.
5. In team play, if the ball is in the rough, hazard or foreign fairway, the player who hit the ball to that area will play first (as it lies). Subsequent players must drop from knee height within 1 club length of the original position and so as not to change the cut of the lie (cannot drop from rough to fairway.)
6. A ball on the fringe of the green (fairway) may be moved 1 length of putter head no closer to the hole but not so as to change the cut of the lie.
7. For a ball in a sand trap, the sand may be smoothed and the ball placed, but not cleaned. In team play, the player who hit the shot into the bunker has to play first. Subsequent players will smooth and place within 1 club length of the original position and no closer to the hole.
8. For closest to the hole, your ball must be on the green to be eligible for a prize.
9. Distance measuring devices are allowed to be used.
10. The area adjacent to and to the left of holes #16 & #17 is considered rough.
11. All ties in any flight will be determined by countback from hole #18 until a winner is decided. For overall low gross champion in the Club Championship, there will be a playoff starting on #10, then #14 and #18, continuing until the winner is decided.
12. On or over the roadway on holes #1, #3 or #10 is out of bounds. The fence designates O.B. on holes #8 and #13. For a ball near a fence, no relief is provided but you can take unplayable lie relief of 2 club lengths no closer to the hole (1 stroke penalty).
13. Floodway channels on holes #2, #3, #11 and #14 are lateral water hazards. Relief is 2 club lengths from point of entry.
14. Any ditch running across the fairway on hole #2, #4, #10, #15, #17 will be played as rough.
15. The ditch running across the fairway on hole #18 will be played as hazard, 2 club length from point of entry (1 stroke penalty).
16. All other ditches #1 , #6 , #7 , #8 , #9 , right on #15 , #16 & left on #18 will be played as a hazard , 2 club length move from point of entry (1 stroke penalty).
17. If ball rests on the culvert overpass for the ditch on hole #2, #10 or #17, a free drop 2 club lengths back is allowed. If the ball is not able to be struck because it is too near to or in a culvert, play it as an unplayable lie.
18. Ponds on holes #3, #4, #10 & #14 are water hazards. For hole #3 there will be a drop area. For other holes, take 2 club length relief from point of entry. All ponds are 1 stroke penalty.
19. If in doubt of a rule, play 2 balls (both balls HAVE to be played out). A final decision will be made by the appointed rules committee.
